282 Films (pronounced two eight two) is a New York/Paris based film production company operating in film development, film production, sales & acquisitions and music composition.

The company is managed by executive producer, Mehdi Frantz Darlis, who made his debut with a feature length documentary entitled Over the net: dream or illusions, shedding a light on the semi-pro tennis tour.

The film premiered at the 2016 FEMI Film Festival and has been praised by several media outlets such as L’Equipe and Le Monde magazine as one of the best sport documentaries of the year. The production company also serves as the sole agent by securing several distribution deals for TV, including France Televisions, TV5 Monde and L’equipe 21 as well as via streaming platforms, such as Afrostream.

Another feature documentary entitled “My Name Is Pedro” directed by Jean Claude Barny, which tells the story of a reggae dancehall artist from Guadeloupe is currently in production.

282 Films has recently acquired the rights to the untold story of Rose Salaka, a young female entrepreneur from Malawi who was named the most influential African woman in 2016. The production is set to start mid August between New York and Malawi.
